38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

There is nothing that can separate you from the presence and love of God. Throughout life, we experience many moments of joy and happiness, but we also have sadness, worries, and uncertainties. We, children of God, can be certain that in all these moments, we have the wonderful and encouraging presence of God.

8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Deuteronomy 31:8

His presence blesses us and gives us the boost we need to move forward, doing what God puts in our hands to do. Open your eyes wide today, and observe the signs of love that God gives you. Trust that He is not only. by your side, he goes before you in every situation. He will never abandon you!

Word of the Day: To whom do you belong?

We all belong to someone. We can be slaves to our sins or we can belong to God. When you believe in Jesus as your Savior, God frees you from slavery to sin and adopts you as his child. You belong to God just as a child belongs to their father! And God offers you all the privileges of being his child: the love, provision, and protection of God. But, we have to choose for ourselves to belong to God:

14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24:14-15

The famous words of Joshua 24:15 are some of the last words of Joshua. He was an old man, who had led the people since Moses and had served God faithfully. In these last words of Joshua (Joshua 24: 2-23), he addresses the Israelites before his death. Joshua begins by reminding the people of the history of Israel, their time in Egypt, the exodus, and their arrival at the Promised Land. Joshua then reminds the people of all that God has done: delivering them from slavery, guiding them through the wilderness, and all the many victories God granted them over their enemies.

At this point, Joshua challenges the Israelites - Who do you serve? To whom do you belong? Joshua makes it a choice: the people can either serve the Lord wholeheartedly, or they can follow after the gods of the surrounding nations. Joshua makes his intentions clear: But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. In the following verses we can see that the Israelites respond positively, they declare their commitment to serve the Lord alone.

We have the same question to answer: Who do we serve? There is no distinction between who you serve, and who you belong to; they ultimately mean the same thing. You can't serve false idols, prioritize money, your career, or possessions, and think that you belong to God... so we should be very careful, and reflect on what it is we have made our priorities. Who do we serve? To whom do you belong?

Day Before Yesterday's Word

Word of the Day: Revival begins like this...

On the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus' disciples, there was a great revival. It began with prayer. That's how every revival begins, God's people praying and calling out to God asking for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Revival is not necessarily immediate, it may take days, weeks, or even years, but when we pray and don't give up, God listens to us and brings revival. And in moments of waiting and persistence, God is not idle - he is at work shaping our character and preparing the ground for a revival that will extend beyond us and will impact our communities and nations.

2"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting."
[...]

16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

17 "In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy."
[...]
21 "And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Acts 2:2, 16-18, 21

Do you pray for revival?

We should be praying continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This is the recommendation of the Apostle Paul in the Bible because he knew the power of prayer. In his life, he also experienced the power of revival. Seek the Lord daily through prayer and Bible reading, and you will see wonderful things happen in your life!

Pray earnestly, stay rooted in the Word, and anticipate the wondrous things that God will unfold in response to the cries of His people.

28 “And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
29 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
- Joel 2:28-29
