Today's Word
Word of the Day: 3 promises from God for your life
God always fulfills His promises! He makes special promises to those who love Him. And each of us can walk daily in the right direction toward the fulfillment of the plans God has for our lives.
We can never have complete control over our own lives and plans. Sometimes, what may seem like a good idea today can turn into a bad one tomorrow. Moreover, how can we ever know that what we want is the same as what God wants? Even if you desire good things for your life, the Lord always knows what is best for you.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
God's plans are greater than you can imagine! He has plans to bless you and not harm you. Trust your dreams into God's hands and allow Him to show and guide you on the best paths. Trust in His infinite love and immeasurable goodness!
If you believe in Jesus Christ and have dedicated your life to Him, God promises:
- to always be with you,
- to grant you a life of abundance,
- and to give you eternal life!
He offers these things not because you deserve them, but because He loves you.
Do you want to receive these 3 promises from God, then all you need is to ask.
Yesterday's Word
Word of the day: Seek God and show Him your face
Many times, we don't feel fulfilled in life because we don't seek God or allow Him to change us. Receive this truth today: He loves you and wants to transform your life!
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18
This verse invites us to deeply reflect on the spiritual transformation that occurs when we surrender to the Lord. It begins with the encouragement that all of us, as Christians, are called to live with unveiled faces. This means we don't need to hide who we are before God, for He knows us deeply and accepts us as we are.
When we turn to the Lord and seek His presence, something wonderful happens. We begin to reflect His glory, just as a mirror reflects the light shining upon it. As we behold the glory of God, we are transformed from glory to glory. This means that as we grow in our relationship with God, His image becomes more visible in us.
This transformation is not our own doing, but the work of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. It is He who enables us to grow spiritually, to develop the character of Christ, and to reflect His glory to the world. Therefore, our role is to continually seek God's presence, allowing the Holy Spirit to work in us, and transforming us into His image.
May we embrace this promise of transformation, and daily seek the presence of God, so that with unveiled face, we may reflect His glory and be transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.
Day Before Yesterday's Word
Word of the Day: What if today was your last day?
Would you be ready to meet God face-to-face tomorrow? Perhaps that's a scary thought! Or something you have never thought about before. But it is important to be prepared. Jesus tells a story about being prepared for his return:
The Parable of the Ten Virgins
25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
Matthew 25:1-5
In the passage the wise virgins were prepared for the long wait, they had taken enough oil to last for the evening, but the foolish virgins had not... They were unprepared and suffered the consequences:
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
Matthew 25:6-12
The Bible says if you repent of your sins and dedicate your life to following Jesus, there's no need to fear! You are prepared for the time when God will come and judge the living and the dead. When it's time to give an account, Jesus will purify all who have been faithful to Him.
But for those who are not prepared, who have not repented of their sins and dedicated their lives to Jesus, the situation is dire. In the story, Jesus says to the foolish virgins "Truly I tell you, I don't know you", in the end, nothing else mattered, not their wealth, status, or possessions. They had no relationship with Jesus, so they were locked out of the banquet. Make things right with God today, while you still have time.
Live for Jesus and receive the hope of Heaven!
