Word of the Day: Do you know what it means to be a Christian?
Many people go to church and believe in God. But being a Christian is more than that. A True Christian believes that Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again to give them eternal life. They repent of their sins and dedicate their entire life to Jesus. When this happens, the Christian receives Jesus into their heart and has a new life!
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
Romans 10:9-10
So, if you haven't had a real encounter with Jesus yet, pray and ask Him to become the Lord and Savior of your life. Confess your failures, everything you've done and know is wrong. Talk to Him and receive His love and forgiveness. Christ is waiting with open arms for you to come to Him. Don't let another day pass without surrendering your life to God! In Him, you will find true life.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 6:23
Remember all that Christ did for you, his death on the cross, his love for you. With all this in mind, have you dedicated your life to Jesus?

Word of the Day: Do you know the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?
God reveals Himself to us in three different forms: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we also refer to this as The Trinity:
- The Father is the will, the heart of God. All plans come from the Father.
- The Son is Jesus, God appearing as a man to save us.
- The Holy Spirit is God entering into the hearts of those who believe, transforming their lives.
You could also think of the trinity as the narrative of our salvation: The Father began our salvation story, the Son accomplishes it through His death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit applies it to our lives by convicting, transforming, and sanctifying us. Belief in the Trinity places salvation beneath the magnifying glass and provides a clearer view of God's perfect work of redemption.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Matthew 28: 18-19
The Trinity is an important part of the Christian faith. Note the last words spoken to by Jesus in the book of Matthew, in what is known as The Great Commission. We are commanded to baptize people in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is treated equally in this passage by Jesus.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:14
The presence of God the Father, Son, and Spirit in your life fills your heart with joy and hope and enables you to live the life He desires for you. Without God in our hearts, there is a void in our spirits that we constantly seek to fill.
When we receive God and let Him reign in our hearts, everything changes. Our life finds a good direction, our spirit calms knowing it has been redeemed, and our heart leaps for joy when we feel the movement of God's Spirit. Let us worship the Trinity God, who has given eternal meaning to our lives.
3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:3-7

Word of the Day: To whom do you belong?
We all belong to someone. We can be slaves to our sins or we can belong to God. When you believe in Jesus as your Savior, God frees you from slavery to sin and adopts you as his child. You belong to God just as a child belongs to their father! And God offers you all the privileges of being his child: the love, provision, and protection of God. But, we have to choose for ourselves to belong to God:
14 “Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:14-15
The famous words of Joshua 24:15 are some of the last words of Joshua. He was an old man, who had led the people since Moses and had served God faithfully. In these last words of Joshua (Joshua 24: 2-23), he addresses the Israelites before his death. Joshua begins by reminding the people of the history of Israel, their time in Egypt, the exodus, and their arrival at the Promised Land. Joshua then reminds the people of all that God has done: delivering them from slavery, guiding them through the wilderness, and all the many victories God granted them over their enemies.
At this point, Joshua challenges the Israelites - Who do you serve? To whom do you belong? Joshua makes it a choice: the people can either serve the Lord wholeheartedly, or they can follow after the gods of the surrounding nations. Joshua makes his intentions clear: But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. In the following verses we can see that the Israelites respond positively, they declare their commitment to serve the Lord alone.
We have the same question to answer: Who do we serve? There is no distinction between who you serve, and who you belong to; they ultimately mean the same thing. You can't serve false idols, prioritize money, your career, or possessions, and think that you belong to God... so we should be very careful, and reflect on what it is we have made our priorities. Who do we serve? To whom do you belong?
