God will provide!
7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?”
“Yes, my son?” Abraham replied.
“The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”
8 Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.
Genesis 22:7-8
These verses tell of a time of great trial that Abraham went through with his son Isaac. It's a well-known story in which God tests Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his beloved son. It was certainly an unparalleled test, but it was only a test because, of course, God didn't want the boy to die.
Abraham proved that he had faith and obeyed the Lord in everything. He knew that God, who had given him the promised son, was faithful and would, if necessary, resurrect the boy or provide the lamb for the sacrifice.
And so it happened! This story is the one place in the bible where the name for God is 'Jehovah Jireh' (Verse 14) ''The Lord my Provider! And in your life too, He will provide!
Like this story, sometimes our faith is tested. And even if we don't understand the circumstances, we need to trust in the Lord, because through the struggles we face, we learn to depend on Him more. Employment, health care, material resources, what to wear, etc. are all important needs, but seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:31-33). Place your faith completely in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because He will supply all your needs, in Christ, for His glory!
By faith, God will provide!
- Trust God completely! He is faithful and fulfills His Word.
- Pray and place your whole life in the Lord's care.
- God will provide what you need. This is not always compatible with what you want Him to do.
- Rest in God's provision, but work and take advantage of the opportunities he places in front of you.
- Seek constant guidance in God's Word. He provides the wisdom you need to make the right decisions.
Pray:
Lord God, I want to thank you because you, Lord, have taken care of me. Even with difficulties, I believe that you are in control of my life. Provide what I really need, not what I want. Help my family, your church, my brothers and sisters in Christ and my friends in their daily needs. Bless our country and provide for the needs of our people, Lord! Give me wisdom to manage well the resources you give me. Open doors, Father, and do Your will in me. In Jesus' name! Amen.

Fear is not being afraid
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom! Disrespect, on the other hand, leads to ruin. But fearing God isn't about being afraid; it's about having deep respect and reverence for Him.
Respect begins when we acknowledge that He is sovereign: omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. God knows all things, even what is in our hearts. Therefore, the fear of God should be genuine.
The greatest way we can show respect to God is by obeying His Word. Those who genuinely respect Him listen to and treasure His Word in their hearts. Such individuals are wise and enjoy all the blessings that God provides.
Do not be afraid of God but understand that He is love and justice (Psalms 9:8).
Guarding the Word:
Don't approach the Word and God as if they're a game of spot the difference, instead see them as a manual for eternal life! Have intimacy with the Word of God, read it daily, and meditate on what you have read. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. When we understand what we see, we respect what we receive.
Let's Pray:
Lord, You are mighty, You are love and justice! Obeying Your Word is my pleasure, it nourishes and soothes my soul. Only Your Word leads to eternal life. Amen.
Day Before Yesterday's Devotional
Live in fellowship!
"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"
Psalm 133:1
In an increasingly selfish and individualistic world, living together in church can be a challenge for many people. Unfortunately, after experiencing problems and difficulties within the group, many distance themselves from the community. Others are present but reject any real bond with their brothers and sisters. They stop experiencing the kindness and love that comes from communion with their family in the faith.
Although it is complicated, for the Christian this is the only possibility of living the gospel to the full, loving Jesus Christ and our neighbor as brothers and sisters. Having a personal relationship with God doesn’t mean we get to ignore friendships with other brothers and sisters in Christ... we are God's family and need each other to be edified and grow. Living together is not always easy. Problems will happen because we are all flawed. We are different people, with different upbringings, styles, ages, and problems, but what unites us must always be God's great love.
Be in communion:
- If you are far from communion with the family of God, look for a community to join today.
- For a child of God, living in isolation from others is not an option. Be humble, forgive and ask for forgiveness from your brothers and sisters.
- Don't expect them to do for you what you can also do for others. Love, serve, help, embrace, listen, share, and live with the Christian family.
- If you know there's a problem between you and a brother, pray for him, talk to him, try to win him over, reconcile with him.
- Always take part in meetings and get together with your brothers and sisters. These are great opportunities to build community.
- Authentically care about people. Study the Bible and pray together with your family in Christ.
Pray:
Father, thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Help me to always live in communion with you and with them by your grace. Forgive our faults and failings. Help us to be a support for all those who need help. As a family, may we all be united despite the problems and difficulties that may arise. Lord, teach us to love and serve one another in the love of Christ. May we always live together in peace and unity, according to your will. In Jesus' name, Amen!
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
