Daily Devotional

A daily devotional to strengthen your relationship with God.

Today's Devotional

God is the strength of your heart!

"My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever."

Psalm 73:26

By accepting our limitations, we recognize everything God has done for us. When we understand that everything comes from the Lord, we realize how much he cares.

Recognizing our weakness is not an excuse for sinning, but a reason to pursue God even more. When we don't recognize God's power, we have this false impression that we conquer all things with the strength of our two arms, when everything we receive is through the Father's grace.

God's grace gave the inheritance of Salvation and no amount of effort could repay the price paid on the cross. The strength of our arm is limited, but the strength that comes from God propels us to accomplish great things!

With God, we do more!

  • Recognize your limitations, and respect yourself. Understand that everything good comes from God.

  • Seek strength in the Word of God. It is effective in cooling our souls and invigorating our strength.

  • Don't feel weak, your strength comes from God. Seek the source, pray.

Pray:

Lord, you are my strength. When I feel weak, your Word invigorates me. I am grateful to You, because I know that Your hand has sustained me. Thank you Father, amen!

Yesterday's Devotional

Live in fellowship!

"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!"

Psalm 133:1

In an increasingly selfish and individualistic world, living together in church can be a challenge for many people. Unfortunately, after experiencing problems and difficulties within the group, many distance themselves from the community. Others are present but reject any real bond with their brothers and sisters. They stop experiencing the kindness and love that comes from communion with their family in the faith.

Although it is complicated, for the Christian this is the only possibility of living the gospel to the full, loving Jesus Christ and our neighbor as brothers and sisters. Having a personal relationship with God doesn’t mean we get to ignore friendships with other brothers and sisters in Christ... we are God's family and need each other to be edified and grow. Living together is not always easy. Problems will happen because we are all flawed. We are different people, with different upbringings, styles, ages, and problems, but what unites us must always be God's great love.

Be in communion:

  • If you are far from communion with the family of God, look for a community to join today.
  • For a child of God, living in isolation from others is not an option. Be humble, forgive and ask for forgiveness from your brothers and sisters.
  • Don't expect them to do for you what you can also do for others. Love, serve, help, embrace, listen, share, and live with the Christian family.
  • If you know there's a problem between you and a brother, pray for him, talk to him, try to win him over, reconcile with him.
  • Always take part in meetings and get together with your brothers and sisters. These are great opportunities to build community.
  • Authentically care about people. Study the Bible and pray together with your family in Christ.

Pray:

Father, thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ. Help me to always live in communion with you and with them by your grace. Forgive our faults and failings. Help us to be a support for all those who need help. As a family, may we all be united despite the problems and difficulties that may arise. Lord, teach us to love and serve one another in the love of Christ. May we always live together in peace and unity, according to your will. In Jesus' name, Amen!

Day Before Yesterday's Devotional

What is your treasure?

"Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”."
- Acts 3:6

When the apostles were walking towards the temple, they saw a man begging for alms because he was crippled and couldn't work. Faced with such a needy person, being 'empty-handed' wasn't a problem, because the apostles had something more valuable.

Evaluate your life right now, is the most valuable thing something you can hold in your hands? You see, our faith in Christ is the greatest security we can have in life, and it is our path to salvation.

They trusted in the power of Jesus' name, do you trust that Christ's name can meet your needs? Just believe, get up, and go praise the Lord for everything he has already done in your life.

Take your Stretcher and Walk

  • Pray to the Lord for renewed faith.
  • Understand that your most precious possession is spiritual, not physical.
  • Share this immaterial blessing of salvation with your neighbor.

Pray:

Lord, creator of heaven and earth, who healed that crippled man through the power of Jesus' name, I ask you to renew my faith. Help me to believe in your power to change my life. I entrust my needs to you and trust that you can help me. I ask this in the name of Jesus.

What is the Daily Devotional

The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.

How to do your Daily Devotional

Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:

  1. Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
  2. Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
  3. Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
  4. Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
  5. Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.

Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
