Today's Devotional
A cloud as small as a man's hand
"The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.”
So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’""
1 Kings 18:44
Great things come about through simple details. When Elijah declared the word of the Lord to Ahab, Israel was going through three years of drought. God had already revealed himself through Elijah - humiliating the prophets of Baal - and the promise of rain brought great expectation.
When the prophet spoke this word, the sky was clear. After checking the weather seven times, a small cloud - the size of a man's hand - appeared from the sea. This sign was enough for Elijah to ask King Ahab to leave Mount Carmel before the storm hit.
The prophet was attentive to detail. Elijah didn't need to ask God for great signs and proof that he would keep his promise. This is a powerful teaching: if God has prophesied something in your life, don't wait for big signs, be attentive to the details.
Even great trees come from small seeds. The promises that God has declared in your life will bear fruit, trust in it, because it will happen!
It's going to rain!
- More than having faith, we need to persevere in God. Without perseverance, faith does not last. Persevere in God's Word!
- Be attentive, and ask God for wisdom and discernment.
- If God has declared something in your life, it will come true! Follow the word you have received, and put your faith into action.
Pray:
Lord God, thank you so much for your presence in my life. Your Word transforms and enlivens. I want to build my life on your promises and I want to live the extraordinary in these days. Give me wisdom and discernment. In Jesus' name, amen!

Have an encounter with the Word of God today
Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the Lord.” He gave it to Shaphan, who read it.
2 Kings 22:8
When King Josiah began to reign in Israel, he was just a child and did not know the Law of God. Many years later, the Book of the Law was found in the temple and presented to the king. Upon hearing what it said, Josiah humbled himself and repented. He decided in his heart to fulfill everything that was written. The Bible tells us that he pleased the Lord by doing everything correctly.
How many of us would like to live in righteousness, bringing joy to the Lord?
Day by day we encounter choices and challenges, striving to steer our lives towards the best outcomes. Yet without a reliable compass, navigating life's waters becomes dangerous. Fortunately, the Lord has bestowed upon us His Word, a steadfast guide for our journey. Without embracing the Bible, how can we cultivate a personal relationship with Him? How can we bring Him satisfaction and joy?
The narrative of King Josiah serves as a powerful example of how we can proceed. Josiah did not know the Word of the Lord, but when he found it, he considered it valuable. He attentively listened, swiftly repented, humbled himself, and obediently acted.

Day Before Yesterday's Devotional
Towards the target!
"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,"
Phillipians 3:13
When the Apostle Paul wrote this passage to the Philippians, he tackled the challenge of handling both the past and the future. Faced with this challenge, he took a stand, forgot the past, and moved on to a future with Christ.
No one had more reason than Paul to blame themselves and remain stuck in the past. When he was called Saul, he persecuted Christians, resulting in the death of many of them. Keeping hold of that memory would have been a burden on Paul preventing him from moving forward towards the goal, doing God's will, and experiencing the genuine transformative power of Christ Jesus.
Forgetting this past was only possible with a true conversion in Christ - which formed the fruits of the spirit - and the total transformation of his mind. Only in this way was Paul able to experience and prove the good, pleasing and perfect will of God in his life. Like Paul, if you are in Christ, you are a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new!
Forgetting
- Feelings of guilt prevent us from moving forward. Ask God for forgiveness for your sins, and don't look back. Jesus has already paid the price, so go and sin no more.
- Avoid situations that remind you of the past when you were distant from Jesus. In these cases, remember your conversion and how much that decision has changed you.
Moving on
- Read the Word of God. It is stimulating, it feeds the soul and strengthens your faith. The Bible is the nourishment you need to keep moving forward.
- Put God into your plans. Seek Him first and all other things will surely be provided for.
Pray:
Lord Jesus, I want to thank you for transforming my life. I want to press on towards the goal, growing in spirit and in truth. Remove the evil arrows of accusation from me. In you I have found forgiveness and salvation, and for that I am grateful! In Jesus' name, amen!
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
