Word of the Day: Use the internet wisely
15 Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise,16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16
The internet is a powerful tool for sharing the message of Christ, but it also presents challenges. We should be wise when using it: avoiding harmful content, practicing discernment, using it to cultivate healthy relationships, and guarding our hearts.
If we don't control ourselves, we can end up wasting a lot of time that could be invested in our relationship with God or with others. In the Bible, we are called to use our time wisely, which we should also apply to internet use.
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7
Just because something appears on the internet doesn't mean it's good or true. Ask God for wisdom and discernment to know what builds you up and what does not. Guard your heart so that you remain pure before the Lord.
On the other hand, you can use the internet to spread the message of Jesus. It is a tool that can be a blessing to many people who have not heard of the Lord. Ask God how you can be a light and become a witness for Him online.
Read content that draws you closer to God and share it with your friends and family. Let the light of Christ shine through you.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Yesterday's Devotional
Defend the gospel!
"When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?""
Galatians 2:14
Already in his old age and close to death, the apostle Paul told Timothy to be "ready in season and out of season", and forewarned him of the problems that would occur in the future. This advice did not come without experience, as the apostle himself had lived through situations in which he defended the truth in unexpected ways.
In his letter to the Galatians, Paul recounts the time he met Peter, an older apostle who had walked with Christ for years. He might have been intimidated or apprehensive about rebuking him, but dared to do so nonetheless.
In the same way, we must not be intimidated by anyone, and we must stand up for the truth. To do so, we must also train ourselves, and be prepared in season and out of season.
Be ready
- Prepare yourself by reading the Bible every day.
- Pray to God and ask him to reveal himself to you, deepen your relationship with the Father.
- Be courageous enough to be yourself as a Christian in daily life.
Pray:
Lord, my God and Father, I pray to you to give me the wisdom to take a stand at times when the truth is being distorted. Give me, Father, the courage to stand before unbelievers and preach the gospel. Help me, Holy Spirit of God, to be prepared in season and out of season, in Jesus' name, amen.
Day Before Yesterday's Devotional
A love that lasts forever!
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever!
Psalms 136:1
The love of God is something that transcends time and cannot be measured. How do we classify this love? It's a love that conquers death, overcomes pain, forgives, and heals. Another characteristic of this love is that it lasts forever!
In the face of this unconditional love, why do we sometimes feel alone? If God's love lasts forever, why do we have moments of tribulation? These and other questions may have already crossed our minds. God's love does not diminish and neither does it abandon us. What happens is that many times we distance ourselves from God because of sin, and sin precisely blocks us from this love.
But do not be sad, there is a way to return to the Father's arms! It will require effort, humility, and an open heart. God is merciful and has already forgiven us of all sin, but to validate it we must ask for forgiveness and place ourselves before God. God's love drives out any feeling of condemnation. God is good, and his love lasts forever!
Experiencing this love:
- Read the Gospel and see the greatest proof of love that humanity can know: Jesus Christ.
- Jesus is alive and is among us! Pray, seek Him. Love is a relationship.
- Spread this love with others. God's love is practical and bears fruit.
Let's Pray:
Lord Jesus! I want to experience more of Your love. Pour Your peace into my heart and make me a channel of love for my neighbor. I want to experience this love more and more! Amen.
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
