Today's Devotional
The road to conversion
"29 Keep me from deceitful ways;
be gracious to me and teach me your law.
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set my heart on your laws."
- Psalm 119:29-30
Much of the world still doesn't understand exactly what a conversion is. They think it's just a change of habits or something psychological that a person has decided at an important moment in their life. An example of this is when people speculate on how or when they should start, stop and choose their religion.
It happens, however, exactly in the way this psalmist describes. Notice that he doesn't turn away, but is 'kept' away from deceitful ways. In other words, conversion is not through our strength, it is through God’s strength. What brings about this conversion, however, is not a mere reflection or event, it is God's grace that does it.
Conversion is also not a diversion from a deceitful path to an empty road, quite the opposite. When we leave the deceptions of the world, we come across a road full of truth and life, which we need to know and dedicate ourselves to.
After being reached by grace, the author decides to follow God's path.
Make your decision
Have you left the deceitful ways of the world, or are you still deluding yourself with them? Turn to the Lord!
Recognise that it was by God's grace that you were saved
Like the psalmist, make your decision to follow God's ways and be faithful to the Lord of the universe
Pray:
Lord, I ask you to help me reach maturity. I thank you for having reached me at my lowest, on the road of deceit, and for having placed me on the path of Truth, where your Holy Son Jesus Christ dwells. Lord God, open my eyes and teach me your Law, so that I may keep it in my heart and live joyfully. I ask this in the name of Jesus!

Walking on the waters!
“Lord, if it's you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come,” He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
Matthew 14:28-29
There are times in our lives when we will have to pass through storms; it's inevitable. But one thing we must not forget: God is on our side, even in the most difficult situations. It may seem like an obvious statement, but it's very common for us to forget about God when life's complications begin to appear.
We often only remember God when certain situations reach their breaking point. Storms like this are allowed by God for our learning and to stretch us to a higher level of faith in Him. Miracles only happen when nothing seems to have a solution anymore, and our faith is only put into action in this way.
After that miracle in the storm, Peter had the opportunity to experience something more. Obeying Jesus' word, he put his feet on the water and went to meet Christ, experiencing the supernatural. When we are with Jesus, we always have the opportunity to experience something more in our lives. And the more we learn from Jesus, the more we experience His power. Our faith is built up, and so we walk on the waters to meet the Creator.
Getting out of the boat:
- Be attentive to listen to the voice of God. Pray, meditate on His word, developing more intimacy with Him.
- Learn to identify yourself as someone who depends on God's help. He wants to see our growth in faith. God wants our spiritual maturity.
- When your faith needs to spring into action, keep your eyes focused solely on Christ and His word. Peter walked on the water but sank because he lost his focus on external factors.
Let's pray:
Lord Jesus, I understand that all things work together for the good of those who love You. Please cultivate within me a heart that places greater trust in Your word. Provide me with the circumstances necessary for me to grow in You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day Before Yesterday's Devotional
God is the source of true beauty
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.Proverbs 31:30
Nowadays, appearance has become a key element in society. Looking beautiful and well-groomed has become almost an obligation. And to stay "in fashion" you need resources, which unfortunately not everyone has. Looking good may be important, but there is a limit: all appearance is superficial and fleeting.
Aesthetic beauty can be achieved with resources and products, but real beauty cannot be achieved with money. This beauty does not come from beauty, but from good deeds. A God-fearing woman will always be praised and will set an example for everyone.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and a wise woman builds her house (Proverbs 14:1). Try to attract the eyes of God and be a good example in your environment.
Beautiful in God's eyes
- Remember that beauty is fleeting, but wisdom makes us even more beautiful.
- Avoid using beauty as a criterion for a friendship or relationship, appearances can be deceiving.
- God protects us like the apple of His eye, seek Him out.
Pray
Lord, thank you so much for your affection. I feel beautiful in your hands, protected and loved. I want to learn more from you and grow spiritually. Amen!
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
