Today's Devotional

Put God in your plans

Commit to the Lord whatever you do,
and he will establish your plans.

Proverbs 16:3

There is no better plan than the one that meets God's will. This is the secret to being successful in your plans. Plan to build a family in which the Word of God is the reference, and seek to grow in grace by dedicating yourself to the mission of the gospel. When we seek to do the Father's will, God surprises us with his favor.

When God is in our plans, we have the conviction that everything that happens - be it easy or difficult - will contribute to His glorification. Therefore, having God in our plans is a way of putting Him first in our lives. By taking this attitude, we are recognizing God's sovereignty.

God is powerful, his plans for us are infinitely bigger and better than we can imagine. Put your plans in good hands: put your plans in the Lord's hands!

Putting God in our plans!

  • When you plan something, try to pray and ask for God's direction. He doesn't leave us without direction.
  • Use God's Word as a reference for your plans. The Bible is the best way to align our plans with God's will.

Pray:

Lord Jesus, I have plans for the future and I want to put you in them. The future belongs to You, take charge of my plans and may Your name be glorified through my attitudes. Amen!

Yesterday's Devotional

God is the strength of your heart!

"My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever."

Psalm 73:26

By accepting our limitations, we recognize everything God has done for us. When we understand that everything comes from the Lord, we realize how much he cares.

Recognizing our weakness is not an excuse for sinning, but a reason to pursue God even more. When we don't recognize God's power, we have this false impression that we conquer all things with the strength of our two arms, when everything we receive is through the Father's grace.

God's grace gave the inheritance of Salvation and no amount of effort could repay the price paid on the cross. The strength of our arm is limited, but the strength that comes from God propels us to accomplish great things!

With God, we do more!

  • Recognize your limitations, and respect yourself. Understand that everything good comes from God.

  • Seek strength in the Word of God. It is effective in cooling our souls and invigorating our strength.

  • Don't feel weak, your strength comes from God. Seek the source, pray.

Pray:

Lord, you are my strength. When I feel weak, your Word invigorates me. I am grateful to You, because I know that Your hand has sustained me. Thank you Father, amen!

Day Before Yesterday's Devotional

God is present

The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Psalm 46:7

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").

Matthew 1:23

God is the present God! He does not abandon you when the crisis tightens or when sadness comes. Unlike all who have abandoned you, He is a strong fortress in times of distress. Every difficulty you are going through can be eased by the mighty hands of the Lord! He is great and is by your side, even if you don't feel it. He renews your hopes and transforms your darkness into light...

Jesus is the great Immanuel - “God with us.” He could have lived above us or far from us, but He did not! He lived among us and cared for the weak and helpless. He became a friend to sinners and a brother to the poor. He is present, and He sustains you through every storm. Trust in the Lord persistently!

God came to us

  • God of us all! Jesus did not limit or restrict His company to a specific group: He is the present God with all — men, women, small and great, nationals and foreigners, sick and healthy, weak and courageous. He is our God!
  • God is present in the mountains and in the valleys. He accompanies you in suffering and joy. Remember this every day.
  • Pray for His presence to be noticeable in your life. Acknowledge God in your ways.
  • Cling to the Word of God every day. It will teach you and strengthen your faith.
  • You are not alone! You are secure in the hands of the Savior of the world. Rest in the Lord!

Let’s Pray:

Lord, thank you for Your constant presence. When everyone else withdraws, You remain close to us, taking care of us. I believe that You, God Emmanuel, will never abandon us, even when everything seems so difficult and lost. Stay with us, our beloved and good Jesus, today and always, through Your eternal love! Amen.

What is the Daily Devotional

The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.

How to do your Daily Devotional

Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:

  1. Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
  2. Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
  3. Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
  4. Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
  5. Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.

Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
