Today's Devotional
God is the source of true beauty
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.Proverbs 31:30
Nowadays, appearance has become a key element in society. Looking beautiful and well-groomed has become almost an obligation. And to stay "in fashion" you need resources, which unfortunately not everyone has. Looking good may be important, but there is a limit: all appearance is superficial and fleeting.
Aesthetic beauty can be achieved with resources and products, but real beauty cannot be achieved with money. This beauty does not come from beauty, but from good deeds. A God-fearing woman will always be praised and will set an example for everyone.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and a wise woman builds her house (Proverbs 14:1). Try to attract the eyes of God and be a good example in your environment.
Beautiful in God's eyes
- Remember that beauty is fleeting, but wisdom makes us even more beautiful.
- Avoid using beauty as a criterion for a friendship or relationship, appearances can be deceiving.
- God protects us like the apple of His eye, seek Him out.
Pray
Lord, thank you so much for your affection. I feel beautiful in your hands, protected and loved. I want to learn more from you and grow spiritually. Amen!

Loving God through doing good
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
- Deuteronomy 6:5
Loving God is more than just having deep feelings in our hearts. It is an expression of devotion that manifests itself in our daily actions. God calls us to love him with all our being: heart, soul and strength. God wants our love to overflow through our actions and not just words.
When we understand God's love for us, we are inspired to share that love with those around us. Jesus taught us to love our neighbor as ourselves and to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. These actions demonstrate our love for God through our love for others.
One of the most powerful examples of loving God through good deeds is serving those who are in need. When we reach out to the poor, care for the sick, feed the hungry and comfort the afflicted, we are expressing our love for God. Jesus said:
"The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'"
- Matthew 25:40
May our love for God be evident in our daily actions. May our lives be a reflection of His unconditional love for us. May every good deed we do be a tangible expression of our love for Him. And, above all, may our love for God be the basis of everything we do, being the motivation to glorify Him in everything we are and do.
Loving God in practice
- Find daily opportunities to serve others: be willing to help someone in difficulty.
- Practice forgiveness: Release resentments and forgive those who hurt you.
- Seek to live a righteous and obedient life: Make wise decisions, treat others with kindness, and be upright in all areas of your life.
Pray:
Lord, show me how to serve those who are in need, forgive those who have offended me and live a life of righteousness before you. May my love for You be evident in every area of my life. In Jesus' name, amen.
Day Before Yesterday's Devotional
How can you tell?
"In the Lord I take refuge.
How then can you say to me:
“Flee like a bird to your mountain."?"Psalm 11:1
When the psalmist puts all his trust in God, he is sure that none of his enemies can get away with anything. David, the author of the psalm, doesn't think he's simply unbeatable, just as we shouldn't think that of ourselves, because every day we bear our own evil. But he is writing about God's justice, for he loves the righteous and hates the wicked.
Even if we suffer a lot in our lives, from terrible people, and we feel hurt, we can rest in God. This is because he is the righteous judge of all reality. His throne is in heaven and from there he sees everything that has ever happened.
If someone has stolen from you, humiliated you, cursed you or harmed you in any way, if they don't repent, God will bring them to judgement. And we face the same judgement, unless we repent of our sins and believe in Christ Jesus.
Practise justice!
- Read the whole of Psalm 11
- Reflect on and think about yourself, woul you describe yourself as righteous or wicked?
- Pray and trust God that He will bring you justice
Pray:
Lord God, my Father, and Jesus Christ my saviour, I ask you to protect me and keep me from all evil. When the wicked threaten me and terrorise my peace, may I be protected under their wings, safe from evil attacks. May I and my enemies repent of our sins, and be eternally at your side, Lord, for in Christ the sins of all mankind have been paid for. In Jesus' name, amen.
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
