Daily Devotional

A daily devotional to strengthen your relationship with God.

Today's Devotional

With God's help, free yourself of all yokes

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
- John 8:36

God is interested in your total liberation. Sometimes we think that the freedom granted by God only concerns the spiritual area, but the Lord also wants you to be free in the emotional, physical and relational areas.

We often get stuck in abusive relationships, or take on compulsive behaviours (with food, drink, activities or drugs). And so we start to self-sabotage and destroy ourselves. In addition to these problems, we also tend to hold on to the past, failing to forgive others and ourselves.

If you realise that there is some kind of prison in any area of your life, pray to God and ask Him to bring about a complete liberation in you, right now...

In Christ, be truly free!

  • Reflect for a few moments and look at what or who is your "oppressor".
  • Pray, seek God and ask Him to set you completely free.
  • Ask for Christ's help to set you free and let go of bad habits, past events and even relationships that bring you oppression.
  • Learn more about Jesus. Read the Bible and develop a true friendship with God every day.
  • Pray:

Lord God, free me from everything that imprisons me! Open my eyes and my conscience to realise that I can be free in you. Help me to live the true freedom won by Jesus Christ. And may your Holy Spirit work this miracle within me. May this transformation also be projected into all areas of my life. May everything I do be for your glory. In your name, Jesus! Amen.

Lost treasures at home

Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.

Luke 15:8-9

The parable of the lost coin appears in a series of sermons by Jesus about the Kingdom of God. In these illustrations, the Master shows practically how the lost are precious when found in His kingdom. The coin has no value when lost, but in the right hands, it can be very profitable to its owner. Likewise, when we are lost without our Savior, we have no value in the world. But when found by Him, there is celebration in heaven in celebration of the sublime rescue, for the high price paid on the cross.

The lost coin at home also makes us think about the important things we lose in our homes: dialogue, respect, understanding, peace, faithfulness, forgiveness, or, in short, love. These are very important values that we leave forgotten in some "drawer of resentment" or dusty behind some heavy piece of suffering. Seek to find these important principles for you and your family, and do not lose sight of them.

God has made you precious by being found by Jesus Christ. Make your home, your work, and the people around you precious through the care and love expressed by them.

You are a valuable jewelry box!

  • Open your heart to Jesus Christ if you are still lost and without eternal hope.
  • Pray and thank Him for having been found by the King. He has made you a precious and useful treasure for the Kingdom of God.
  • Find your true value with Christ in the Bible. Read and study it daily!
  • Reflect on your home and do a "general cleaning." Sweep away the dust of past grievances, forgive by removing the trash, and reorganize your home with love and dedication.
  • Take the first step and recognize the real value of family. Find the "hidden treasures" in each person.
  • Love people and use things, not the other way around.

Let's Pray:

Lord Jesus, thank you for coming to meet us. I praise you for considering humanity precious enough to shed your own blood in our place. Help me to always celebrate this encounter with joy and gratitude. Teach me to also recover the lost riches in my home. Restore my family, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Service and Gratitude

Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name.

1 Chronicles 29:13

This excerpt from David's song was the fruit of a great offering that the king made with the participation of all the people of Israel in the construction of the temple in Jerusalem. For God's work to be carried out, a great deal of involvement and effort was required. In the face of all that David rejoiced and praised God. When we serve the Lord, no effort is in vain!

Helping in God's work is like planting a seed in good soil. Every time you have the opportunity to serve God, don't just do it, do it with a grateful heart and you'll see how much God will do in your life by putting yourself at His disposal. God is a blesser and loves those who take pleasure in serving him.

Serve the Lord with joy:

  • Try to integrate with the brothers and sisters of the church you attend. Make yourself available. By making contact, you will get to know more brothers and sisters and be more involved in God's work.
  • When you serve in God's house, even in small tasks, keep in mind that every service is an offering of worship. At the end, prayerfully give your service to the Lord.

Pray:

Lord God, I want to thank you and praise you for all the things you have done in my life. Revive my heart so that I feel more and more pleasure in serving you. I want to serve as Jesus served! I want to rejoice more and more in your house! In Jesus' name, amen!

What is the Daily Devotional

The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.

How to do your Daily Devotional

Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:

  1. Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
  2. Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
  3. Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
  4. Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
  5. Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.

Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
