Daily Devotional
A daily devotional to strengthen your relationship with God.
Today's Devotional
How can you tell?
"In the Lord I take refuge.
How then can you say to me:
“Flee like a bird to your mountain."?"Psalm 11:1
When the psalmist puts all his trust in God, he is sure that none of his enemies can get away with anything. David, the author of the psalm, doesn't think he's simply unbeatable, just as we shouldn't think that of ourselves, because every day we bear our own evil. But he is writing about God's justice, for he loves the righteous and hates the wicked.
Even if we suffer a lot in our lives, from terrible people, and we feel hurt, we can rest in God. This is because he is the righteous judge of all reality. His throne is in heaven and from there he sees everything that has ever happened.
If someone has stolen from you, humiliated you, cursed you or harmed you in any way, if they don't repent, God will bring them to judgement. And we face the same judgement, unless we repent of our sins and believe in Christ Jesus.
Practise justice!
- Read the whole of Psalm 11
- Reflect on and think about yourself, woul you describe yourself as righteous or wicked?
- Pray and trust God that He will bring you justice
Pray:
Lord God, my Father, and Jesus Christ my saviour, I ask you to protect me and keep me from all evil. When the wicked threaten me and terrorise my peace, may I be protected under their wings, safe from evil attacks. May I and my enemies repent of our sins, and be eternally at your side, Lord, for in Christ the sins of all mankind have been paid for. In Jesus' name, amen.

Word of the Day: Use the internet wisely
15 Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise,16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:15-16
The internet is a powerful tool for sharing the message of Christ, but it also presents challenges. We should be wise when using it: avoiding harmful content, practicing discernment, using it to cultivate healthy relationships, and guarding our hearts.
If we don't control ourselves, we can end up wasting a lot of time that could be invested in our relationship with God or with others. In the Bible, we are called to use our time wisely, which we should also apply to internet use.
The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7
Just because something appears on the internet doesn't mean it's good or true. Ask God for wisdom and discernment to know what builds you up and what does not. Guard your heart so that you remain pure before the Lord.
On the other hand, you can use the internet to spread the message of Jesus. It is a tool that can be a blessing to many people who have not heard of the Lord. Ask God how you can be a light and become a witness for Him online.
Read content that draws you closer to God and share it with your friends and family. Let the light of Christ shine through you.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16

Enjoying the peace of God
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27
We live in a challenging, competitive world in which it can sometimes feel necessary to hold an opinion and defend it at all times. This only leads to stress and fatigue.
When Jesus spoke the words of this passage to his disciples, he was going through a great time of persecution and tribulation. In this distressing situation, Jesus poured out his peace.
Only Christ can pour out peace during war. He alone can give us the peace that surpasses all understanding and calms our spirit. The peace the world gives is fickle and fleeting, but God's peace is comforting and eternal.
Receive God's peace and calm your heart, the one who has overcome the world is on your side!
Receiving God's peace
- God has given us access to his peace, so seek it through prayer. Pour out your fears and anxieties to God, only He can comfort our hearts.
- The Word of God comforts the soul and gives us direction. When we feel God guiding us, our hearts calm down. Seek God's Word.
Pray:
Lord Jesus, only your peace can calm my soul. I trust in your power and your Word. I want to enjoy your peace, so pour out your spirit on me. In your mighty name, amen.
What is the Daily Devotional
The Daily Devotional is a special moment of your day that you dedicate to having a precious time of intimacy with God. It is very simple to establish an exciting routine of discovery and spiritual growth. You will achieve this by setting aside a moment each day to draw near to the Lord. During the Devotional, you will read a Bible verse with a meditation on the text. Then, you will meditate on the teachings and how to apply them in your life. In the end, you can pray.
How to do your Daily Devotional
Here are some tips for making the most of reading the Bible message during the Daily Devotional:
- Set aside a moment and choose a specific place: your devotional time will be more beneficial if you set aside the hustle and bustle and invest in a pleasant time alone with God.
- Read the verse or Bible passage attentively: develop a lifestyle committed to the Word of God every day and avoid distractions.
- Read the daily meditation: reflect and try to understand God's purpose for your life through the comments.
- Practical application: jot down your findings and don't forget to put into practice everything you have learned through the Bible.
- Share what you learned: try to share with people around what God has been teaching you in your moments of daily devotion as you go about your daily conversations and interactions.
Don't forget the importance of living a life fully committed to the Word of God!
